Following Hard After God
Following Hard After God is the driving motivation of FBCP. This little phrase captures the heart of all of our activity. It reminds us that God is in charge – we follow Him! It is God’s authority over us that sets His church apart from all other organizations. Everything that we do is in response to His leadership! These words also remind us that it is not always easy to follow Christ; in fact it can be really hard! We can tell you from experience that it is hard, but it is worth it! Family
Want to know what it feels like to be with the people of FBCP? It feels like Family! In fact, one of the most common things that people say after attending FBCP is, “It just felt like family!” This feeling does not happen by chance; we are intentional about living as Family! It means that we celebrate with each other when times are easy; we mourn with each other when times are hard; and we love each other always! We are not just a group of people who gather for church, we are Family!
Being Family also means that we are committed to strengthening your family! We believe that the family is God’s instrument to strengthen, encourage, and train His children. We believe that it is through the family that we most clearly learn God’s character and love for us. This truth drives us to help you have the best family possible! From resources to encouragement to a shoulder of comfort in difficult times the FBC family is here for your family! We would love for you to become a part of our Family!
Missional
What does it mean when a church says that they are Missional? Well for FBC it means that we are deeply committed to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with the world. We believe that the greatest need for every man, woman, and child is a love relationship with Jesus; and, He died on a cross to purchase that relationship for us. You see, before Jesus’ sacrifice it was not possible for us to be in a love relationship with God because our disobedience to Him was so great that it deserved to be punished. Christ’s death on the cross paid the penalty for our disobedience! Now we can enjoy a relationship with Him! Even better, we get to experience His great love for us!
It is the goal of FBC to tell everyone they can have a love relationship with God through Jesus Christ! We try to live out this goal through mission trips throughout the world, sharing the message with our friends and neighbors, and serving our community. We are not Missional because we have to be; we are missional because we get to be! Our love for Christ, and His love for us, demands that we share it with others!
