Children's Ministry
The Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Prosper includes children from Birth through 5th grade. Our church believes that it is essential to equip our children to be the salt and light to the world.
During their time in Children’s ministry we strive to help each child build a foundation on which their own spiritual quest can begin.
For the preschool child the focus is on the quest for building a foundation for the Kingdom. We focus on basic Bible truths that are age appropriate to the child. The key verse for our Preschooler is Matthew 19:14 – Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.
Our Elementary age children focus on taking those Biblical truths and applying them to their own life. As with every ministry our focus is making sure every child understands their need for a personal relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
We also want to instill in each child the desire to quest for things of God - Equipping them to take the good news of Jesus to Prosper and beyond. The key verse for our Elementary age children is Matthew 6:33 – But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.
