Police/Fireman Appreciation Dinner
On August 11, 12 & 13, 2009, the Women's Ministry of First Prosper hosted a dinner at the fire station for our police and fire personnel to show them how much we appreciate their service to our community. The delicious dinner of lasagna, topped off with chess squares (yum!) was held on three consecutive evenings to ensure all shifts were served. Placemats made by the children of FBC - some as young as two year's old - were presented to each person. Our own Todd Campbell, Police and Fire Chaplain for the city of Prosper, was in attendance to share in the joy of this event. In exchange for dinner, the ladies were given a tour of the fire station and allowed to outfit themselves in specialized police vests and full-blown fireman's uniform (including the air tank) - all total weighing 50 pounds!! THANK YOU SO MUCH to our police and fire personnel. We appreciate you!!!
