We are first and foremost “Biblicists.” This title means that we are committed to the Bible as the absolute authority of the human existence.
Because of our deep commitment to the scriptures we are unwilling to add to them or take away from them. This commitment leads us to a driving philosophy here at FBC: “We expect unity on the majors and offer grace on the minors!” On those issues that are explicit in the scriptures there is no bending. On disputed matters, however, or on matters of application we offer grace to each other as we take the journey of faith.
The issues for which we walk in absolute unity as the Body of Christ are contained in The Baptist Faith and Message. As a clarification on section "VI. The Church", we believe the scriptural officers include pastors, elders and deacons.
